North of North, the Canadian comedy set in the Arctic Prince of Wales Island, is back on Netflix for season 2. If you’re catching up or in need of a crash course, here’s your guide to the cast & characters in North of North season 2. The show is about an Inuk woman named Siaja who blows up her life in search of something more nontraditional in terms of gender and sexuality.
That’s not easy to do in a small town where her ex-husband was the golden boy. Siaja’s ever-evolving family also shakes things up, especially in season 2 when she meets her half-sister, Olivia, played by Kesha Allurut. As for the cast and characters who’ve been on this journey since season one, here’s who you need to know.
Siaja is a young mother who quits her job and gets a divorce. Anna Lambe’s previous television credits include the fourth season of True Detective, Three Pines, Alaska Daily, Trickster, and Diggtown. She starred in the film In the Heart of the South and appeared in Heart of the Beast earlier this year.
Currently, you can also see Lambe in the film The Social Reckoning. Prior to North of North, Maika Harper played Anna on Mohawk Girls, Michaela on Kim’s Convenience, and Detective Shina May on Law & Order: Criminal Intent. Kuuk is Siaja’s love interest, but it’s complicated for a few reasons.
Braeden Clarke won a Canadian Screen Award for playing Leo on Little Bird. Prior to North of North he also appeared on Outlander, SkyMed, and Impulse. His first credit was as a frat guy in Legends of Tomorrow.
Zorga Qaunaq was also Lambe’s co-star in In the Heart of the South. She can be seen next in this year’s feature film In Alaska, which recently debuted at TIFF. Colin is a local radio host and Siaja’s friend.
